We’re looking at a NASDAQ chart, specifically a 3-minute chart with the Sonic system; it’s pre-market; we had an email that requested a NASDAQ 3-minute chart using the Sonic system, so I decided to pull it up here premarket to see what kind of moves what kind of Trades are we getting here on the Sonic and using this 3-minute chart so you can see that there’s a signal here to go long.
Placing a limit order, and what I want to do is either get the exact price or a better price I don’t want to chase it, so even though the NASDAQ moves very fast and it’s pretty volatile still here, even though it’s pre-market, I don’t want to use Market orders because the slippage.
if you’re trading multiple contracts let’s say you’re trading five contracts that could easily be $400 or $500 on this one trade by itself now when you start trading please use micro contracts please practice join our live training room we have a training room .
Some traders trade with the NASDAQ, so this is a great example of using the Sonic system with a NASDAQ or the e-mini.
Using the Sonic system, I have a Target, I have a stop, I have an entry, but the focus is going to be on the risk-reward ratio; the risk to reward in this example is about equal; that is the minimum that we want to look at in most trades we have the reward a little bit larger than the stop so we’re always looking for the best opportunity we’re using limit orders we’re avoiding the slippage with Market orders, and we’re trying to get at a better price we’re even closer to that stop so we have a much bigger reward.

Going to have some stops and some losses, it’s just part of trading; what I’ve seen with the Sonic trading system is that we have a grouping of trades in a row that are typically winners, so if you see three, four, five winning trades in a row you should stop because overtrading is what hurts traders in this example this is being pre-market the NASDAQ is a solid volatile market
